An oil change should be performed annually or at least every 5,000 km. This process ensures that there is always sufficient oil in the hub, regardless of oil loss, and that any moisture that may have entered is flushed out. Additional information: During an oil change, a small amount of residual oil remains on the surfaces of all internal transmission components. This volume, which cannot be removed during the oil change process, can total approximately 12.5 ml. The reduced oil volume in our oil change kits, combined with the residual oil still in each SPEEDHUB, ensures that the previously prescribed 25 ml of oil is ultimately still present to ensure the correct operation and optimum performance of each SPEEDHUB 500/14 transmission. To ensure that the flushing process is carried out as thoroughly as possible, the volume of 'flush oil' remains 25 ml per oil change as before.
